The 48-unit Juniper Townhomes is located just off of Walden Avenue in Lancaster.
The last remaining Lancaster parcel of the long-ago proposed Buffalo Bills domed stadium will be the site of an upscale townhome complex developed by Marrano Homes.
West Seneca-based Marrano Homes received approval earlier this month from the New York State Attorney General’s office to begin building and marketing the 48-unit Juniper Townhomes. The development is located just off of Walden Avenue, set for the southern portion of Marrano’s Pleasant Meadows residential community.
Pleasant Meadows, which includes condos, townhomes and single-family homes, has been developed on the 270-acre Lancaster parcel, running from Pleasant View Drive south to Walden Avenue, where the the proposed domed football stadium was envisioned in the early 1970s.
Marrano Homes has been building in the Pleasant Meadows community since 2006.
Dave DePaolo, Marrano land development executive vice president, said the Juniper Townhomes will average 1,400-square-feet. All will be two-story units and include a two-car garage. Prices begin in the $290,000 range,
“We took what was a popular floor plan at the north end (of Pleasant Meadows) and brought it to Juniper,” DePaolo said. “The $290,000 price point is a good one for this product and at this location.”
The townhome design includes a first floor master bedroom and a second story loft area. The design mimics what Marrano created with its 200-unit Central Square Villas, developed in an earlier Pleasant Meadows stage.
When all 48 units are sold, it will represent $15 million in residential sales for Marrano Homes.
DePaolo said construction on the first units has just started and those townhomes should be move in ready by early winter.
